What are Dental Veneers?

Dental veneers are thin casings that are custom-made by Dr. Walkington to repair chipped, broken, or cracked teeth. First, Dr. Walkington will take x-rays and images of your mouth to ensure we can make the perfect veneer for your unique smile and bite. We’ll use those images to create a thin casing, composed of durable porcelain. Dr. Walkington will then bond the veneer to the front of your tooth, creating the appearance of a more uniform, seamless smile.

Are Dental Veneers Right for You?

Dental veneers are a wonderful cosmetic option for patients of most ages. Since we have to remove some of the enamel of your original tooth to bond the veneer, they are a lifelong commitment. However, with proper care, your veneer could last over ten years! Their durability makes them an affordable option for improving your smile.

Veneers can fix a variety of problems, including:

  • Severe tooth discoloration from tobacco or medication
  • Cracked, chipped or broken teeth
  • Gapped teeth
  • Mildly crooked teeth

We'll help you work towards the smile of your dreams!

Dental Veneer FAQs

If you have any questions about veneers, please call our office, or refer to our FAQs below.

What if I can’t afford cosmetic dental care?

We know that cosmetic care is an investment in the health and appearance of your smile – and one that you won’t act on lightly! We offer multiple payment plans and an in-house savers plan. We are also very insurance friendly. Check out our financial page for more details.

What if I’m too nervous to have permanent work done?

Dental veneers are minimally invasive, so most patients don’t feel any anxiety about the treatment. However, if you usually feel nervous at your dental visit, just let us know! We have a variety of comfortable amenities and conscious sedation options to keep you relaxed and comfortable while you’re in our care.

Veneers aren’t permanent. Why should I invest in them?

Dental treatments often last longer if they’re properly taken care of. Although its true that not all dental veneers last forever, we use the best quality porcelain materials for durability. Our dental veneers are long lasting, and could even last a lifetime if properly maintained. The average lifespan of a dental veneer is at least ten years in most cases.
